Sodexo Thailand, the leader in Food and Services, shaping better everyday experiences at every moment in life, headquartered in France, is reinforcing its commitment to Sustainable Healthcare by joining the “Fry to Fly” initiative, a program that promotes the responsible collection and recycling of used cooking oil into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

This collaboration is part of the “Fry to Fly” and “Mai Thod Sam” (No Reuse of Frying Oil) programs led by the Bangchak Group through BSGF Co., Ltd. and Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Co., Ltd. The initiatives aim to create new value from waste through circular economy principles by encouraging businesses and partner networks to properly manage used cooking oil and return it to the value chain as a feedstock for clean energy production and other sustainable economic applications.

Under this collaboration, Sodexo Facility and Security Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Foodhouse Catering Services Co., Ltd., the food service providers across the Phyathai-Paolo Hospital Group, will efficiently collect and manage used cooking oil from their food operations before transferring it to BSGF to be used as a raw material for SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) production.

This collaboration reflects how healthcare food services can play a vital role in building a sustainable health and social system that goes far beyond merely delivering quality meals. Responsible end-to-end resource management helps reduce waste, supports the circular economy, and creates a positive impact on consumers, communities, and the environment.

For Sodexo, sustainability begins with the services we deliver every day - from kitchen management and food quality control to responsible resource utilization and minimizing environmental impacts at the operational level.
